John Cox is Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer of Cox Capital Partners, a private investment firm focused on retail alternative investment secondaries. He founded the firm in 2020 to address the liquidity gap for alternative investments held through the wealth management channel. His work spans non-traded BDCs, REITs, interval funds and other vehicles with limited investor liquidity. His approach combines fundamental underwriting with a detailed understanding of fund structures, redemption mechanics, and transfer and custody requirements for secondary transactions.

John brings more than a decade of experience across private banking, alternative investments and financial technology. Previously, he was Head of Strategy at Alternative Investment Exchange (AIX) and held director roles at FS Investments, now Future Standard. He began his career in private banking at Credit Suisse. His insights on alternative investment valuation and liquidity have been featured in The Wall Street Journal.
