David is the Founder and CEO of Azella Advisor (AZELLA), a firm exclusively focused on providing RIAs and financial advisors with expert strategies for driving growth. AZELLA represents the culmination of David’s experience across the financial services and technology industries. David started his career as a web developer and graphic designer, working at top advertising agencies and ultimately joining Financial Engines, the largest RIA in the country at the time, where he focused on digital marketing. A natural entrepreneur, David founded AZELLA during the pandemic to help individual advisors and advisor teams develop their own brands and marketing strategies when transitioning to independence from firms like Morgan Stanley, UBS, Merrill Lynch, and other large wirehouses and private banks. In time, AZELLA has shifted to also helping large RIAs with creating or evolving their brands and driving growth through advisor recruiting.

David has over 15 years of experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to the advisor community. AZELLA was named after his mother, who never had the benefit of receiving financial advice from a professional because she didn’t see herself as having enough money. David is passionate about making financial advice available to all and his company reflects this dedication. He gets great satisfaction from helping advisors help others, including people like his mother.
