Bianca Wallace is the US CRO for The Norinchukin Bank, responsible for the Risk, Regulatory Reporting and Information Security teams. She has over 25 years of risk modeling and banking experience across the risk stripes. Her specialty is the intersection of all things Risk, Culture & Technology.
The Norinchukin Bank, founded by the Japanese Government in 1923 functions as the central bank for the agriculture, fishery & forestry cooperatives and prefectural banking in Japan, and is one of Japan’s leading institutional investors. Truly a global bank with offices throughout Japan, and globally including New York, London, Amsterdam, Singapore and Sydney.
After studying Engineering and Math/Computer Science at Sydney University, her first real job saw her designing and programming a radar for submarines. Subsequent roles included Consulting, Market Risk, Credit Risk and International Structured Trade in the banking universe. She has been with Norinchukin since 2021 and her previous role was at Westpac Institutional Bank, as the Head of Financial Markets and Treasury Risk for Europe and Americas (i.e. Market, Liquidity and Counterparty Credit Risks). She has held senior roles with responsibilities across the Americas, Australia, Asia, UK and Europe for foreign banks.
A true engineer at heart – she has a passion for implementing win-win solutions across products, systems, regions, entities. She also has an MBA, Masters of Finance, a golden doodle and two wonderful teenagers!
