Jason Carlston is the Regional Vice President of Land Development with Dream and oversees everything from acquisitions to neighbourhood design, construction, and land sales within Saskatoon and Regina. An active member with the Regina and Region Homebuilders Association, Jason serves on the Board of Directors and is the chair on the Community Developers Committee. Jason joined Dream eight years ago after spending 16 years with the City of Regina, where he was the Executive Director of Planning and Development. In this role, he was the executive sponsor of several major city plans, including the Downtown Neighbourhood Plan and the Official Community Plan. Jason has a master’s degree in Urban Geography and periodically serves as a sessional lecturer at the University of Regina. Jason has a strong belief in community and presently serves as the Chair of the Board of Directors for the Regina Warehouse Business Improvement District. Other volunteer positions have included Chair of the YMCA Board of Directors, Director with the Regina Pats Community Foundation Board, and member of the Community Leadership Committee for the Plan to End Homelessness. With both public and private sector experience, he understands the importance of collaboration between sectors to achieve community goals.
