Capt. Abdulaziz Al-Yafei is currently the Executive Vice President of Operations at Mwani Qatar and manages the three commercial flagship Ports in the State of Qatar: Hamad Port, Al-Ruwais Ports; in addition to the Terminal at the Old Doha Port.

He has almost 2 decades of experience in the sectors of Maritime Transport, Ports Management, Operations, and Safety with a solid background in Maritime Studies; and has assisted in sustaining the Ports operations at their utmost performance since then.

During his career endeavor, Captain. Abdulaziz has occupied key role positions which marked his path to be a leader in his domain and to undertake the huge responsibilities he is executing nowadays.

Previously he held the position of Hamad Port Director and supported Port growth from the go-live back in 2016 until what the Port is currently with all its expansions, developments, and economic growth, enduring all the challenges and ensuring to fortify the sea trade. He also headed the operations at the Terminal- Old Doha Port which was inaugurated before the FIFA Qatar-2022 tournament to host the Floating Hotels that were assigned to accommodate the Fans and Visitors of the State and is now receiving the cruise vessels.

In addition to this, He is a member of the State Logistics Support Team and other core Committees related to the ports sector. He is also a key spokesman in the field of Maritime industry and represents Qatar and Mwani Qatar within the State and abroad. He also served as Acting Managing Director- Hamad Port in Qterminals Company- Qatar from 01/04/2025 to 31/07/2025.
