Marwa El Selehdar first Egyptian female captain. She graduated from the Arab Academy for Maritime Transport in 2013, she earned her MBA degree from the Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2017 and has completed her Gender Equality Diploma. She worked as Marine Officer from 2013 to 2021 now she works as a Marine operations manager with HAPAG LLOYD (Region Middle East ). Women continue to face obstacles in achieving equality and equity in maritime industry but today around the world we are working together to dismantle all barriers and to celebrate with all Women in Maritime by their success and all the challenges they passed to reach their dreams.
