Dr Haya Aldaghlas is the Director of Strategy & Regulations at Abu Dhabi Maritime, the custodian and regulator of Abu Dhabi’s waterways.

Her role encompasses the consolidation and execution of strategic plans related to the Strategy and Regulations Division and leading on the development and implementation of all relevant policies and regulatory framework.

Dr Haya has extensive professional experience developed in Australia and the UAE with significant experience within maritime roles, most recently as the District Manager of Waterways for Parks Victoria in Melbourne. She also sits on the Board of Directors for Melbourne Maritime Heritage Network.

An accomplished executive leader, who has been published in various international publications, Dr Haya has accrued extensive global experience in large-scale complex programme management, project engineering and strategic business development with a strong background in regulatory compliance and risk assessment.

Dr Haya holds a PhD in Philosophy, a First Class Honours in Master of Engineering Project Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. She is also a Certified Industry Mentor demonstrating expertise in mentoring women within the transport sector, and enabled several industry-academia collaborations.
