Kristof is a business and regulatory expert specializing in Ports and Ports Authorities. His comprehensive experience encompasses all facets of ports strategy and management, including multi-modal solutions increasing end to end connectivity. He has earned a reputation as a skilled deal maker, wielding significant influence in both domestic and international arenas. His proficiency lies in aiding governments and competent authorities in streamlining organizational and legislative processes to unparalleled effect.

Additionally, Kristof possesses a wealth of experience in conducting audits and scans of ports and port authorities. He excels in reviewing master plans, organizational charts, processes, feasibility studies, and business planning, providing expert advice to investors and ports on the viability of port projects and offering detailed insights into expected revenue and cost evolution.

After a political career on federal and local level, Kristof Waterschoot is the managing director of Port of Antwerp-Bruges International and APEC, the Antwerp/Flanders Port Training Center since 2014. Under his leadership, the international activities of Port of Antwerp-Bruges grew exponentially establishing investments in ports on three continents where he holds board positions in the respective port authorities to date, as well as in the international training centers of APEC in India and China.
