Muhammad Naeem Javaid is Field Operations Advisor for Loss Prevention in Saudi Aramco. In his current role, Naeem looks after safety governance for marine and offshore assets at Saudi Aramco. Before joining Aramco, Naeem served as Global Operations Manager, maritime consultancy services at Lloyd’s Register Marine & Offshore. Naeem is a graduate marine engineer, certified marine chief engineer and a certified project management associate having 20 years of experience in marine and offshore sectors. He has vast experience of developing and implementing safety management system, safety audits, international maritime & offshore safety conventions, pollution prevention regulations and incident investigations. Naeem has particular interest in the safety aspects of low carbon energy choices. Naeem has also represented on international forums including International Maritime Organization, Energy Institute, British Standardization Institute (BSI), International Standardization Organization (ISO) and trade organizations such as Intertanko. Naeem holds a bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies and MBA from the University of Southampton, UK. Naeem is a member of Institute of Marine Engineering Science and Technology (UK) and Chartered Management Institute (CMI).
