Saleem is the Chief Commercial Officer at Folk Maritime based in Riyadh, KSA. He has worked in the ports, shipping and logistics environments for 25 years, with experiences in Kenya, Denmark, Horn of Africa countries, UAE and Saudi Arabia.

He has most recently been a Director at ARK Logistics & Maritime as well as the Commercial Vice President at Inchcape Shipping Services, responsible for the Middle East, South Asia & Africa Region. He has also worked for shipping lines, Maersk and Safmarine, as well as Ports and Terminal Operators, Gulftainer and King Abdullah Port.

Saleem has a strong leadership background within commercial and business development, is experienced with leading teams to provide competitive analysis, project development, value propositioning and executing sales strategies. He has broad experience covering ports, shipping lines and logistics having also worked with the investment in and development of liner routes, trucking fleets and container depots as well as larger concession agreements.

Saleem is a Mechanical Engineering graduate, has a MISE diploma from Maersk Shipping Academy and an MBA in Shipping and Logistics from Copenhagen Business School.
