Profile

Logistics is both my passion and my profession.

Albert sincerely likes logistics and has worked his entire career in logistics spanning 27 years across various countries throughout Europe and the Middle East.

Originally from The Netherlands, Albert started his logistics journey back in 1995 working at US express courier company FedEx, it shaped his enthusiasm and love for logistics.

After FedEx, Albert moved on into the Freight Forwarding industry, working for one of Japan’s largest Freight Forwarding companies offering the typical suite of Airfreight, Sea freight and Supply Chain Solution Services. Moving to the Middle East in 2010 starting the Saudi Arabian operations for the company out of Riyadh. The new Saudi logistics company grew rapidly to 4 offices throughout Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and helped Albert to get a good understanding of the specific logistics in the Gulf region.

In 2017 Albert joined DP World Head Office, helping DP World shaping its port-centric logistics and starting the DP World UAE Logistics company Smart Solution Logistics at the start of 2018.

Albert’s true passion is logistics and everything associated with it, really enjoying every day in the office, working with many great clients and colleagues. Having worked in many different countries and in a wide variety of functions, from Operations to Commercial, up to Management and Executive Management, Albert has gained great experience in all aspects running and growing a logistics business.
