Dr. Ibrahim Behairy is a Marine Mechanical Engineer started his career sailing as Chief Engineer in Kuwait Oil Tanker Company (KOTC) VLCC. Then he joined Wärtsilä Saudi Arabia/Switzerland, the leading Diesel Engines Manufacturer from 1997 to 2011 as Director in charge for Marine Solution Division in Middle East & Southeast Asia. Then he moved to Wartsila Gulf FZE-UAE from 2011 to 2015 as Director for Ship Power Merchant Fleet.

Dr. Ibrahim worked in several Managerial positions in the Middle East (Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia), Finland and Switzerland. In 2015, Wartsila and CSSC decided to have a new joint venture for 2- Stroke Diesel Engines Manufacturing and new name was given, the Winterthur Gas and Diesel (WinGD) Middle East, where he was assigned to lead the company in Dubai, UAE as Managing Director that supports the Marine Industry and Shipping in many conferences and seminars by prompting new sources of fuel and helping Green and Eco Shipping.

He has introduced the first DF (Dual Fuel) Engine in Middle East and shared in many technical committees promoting new solutions. He has vast experience in new building projects, project management and contributed to providing the shipping industry with cost effective solution for shipping.
