Mehtab is a Managing Associate in the firm’s Dubai office. Her practice focuses on contentious and non-contentious matters in the maritime, commodities, trade and energy and infrastructure sectors. Mehtab advises a broad range of clients including port operators and terminals, shipyards, industrial companies, logisticians and many others on matters concerning commercial transactions, international trade contracts, including trade specific agreements, charterparties, standard form contracts, terms and conditions and storage contracts. She also handles a wide range of disputes arising out of charterparties, bills of lading, contracts of affreightment, and other contracts of carriage, as well as disputes arising out of collisions and allisions. Advising clients on these types of disputes has enabled Mehtab to gain significant experience in working with lawyers in other jurisdictions and in coordinating multijurisdictional proceedings on her client’s behalf. Mehtab has a wide experience of commercial litigation in both the English High Court, UAE Courts and DIFC and London maritime arbitration centres.
