Michael serves as the MD of Nautical Supply International DMCC since 2018. The Nautical Supply group is the largest independent marine energy brokerage with offices in London, New York, Athens and Dubai. The company in Dubai serves the MENA regional market ensuring a fair market place for owners providing transparency in an opaque market while enabling buyers to manage and plan fuel spending effectively. The NSI future fuels team are assisting customers preparing for the energy transition leading customer seminars on ETS and EEXI, educating and preparing customers presenting the range of alternative fuels. Michael acts frequently as expert witness in arbitration cases and conducts project research and feasibility studies for a range of banks and financial institutions.

Michael is a 25 year veteran in the shipping industry and a multifaceted shipping expert, a master mariner, having served on a mixture of conventional tankers and gas carriers for oil majors Chevron and BP before transitioning into shore-based roles. Michael has lead shore based operations and commercial teams internationally building trading desks and departments. Michael was a pioneer involved in the development of mass flow meters (MFM) for the Singapore and wider bunker market and promoting the transition to lower sulphur fuels in Europe during Marpol 1 and 2.
