Mohamed El Hawawy is Joint Managing Partner of Ince Dubai and oversees Ince’s shipping practice across the UAE and the Middle East. He is known amongst clients and peers as one of the strongest maritime lawyers in the market. Mohamed’s approach to case management, team leadership and exceptional client relationships, strongly positions him to lead our presence going forward in the region. With expertise across both wet and dry shipping, he is frequently instructed on many of the region’s largest and most complex maritime disputes. This includes ship abandonment issues, vessel collisions, allisions, casualties, groundings, salvage and emergency response, as well as disputes arising out of charterparties, bills of lading, contracts of affreightment, and other contracts of carriage, many of which are handled before the UAE Courts and arbitral institutes. . In addition to his contentious offering, Mohamed is noted for his work in advising UAE government bodies regarding their rules and regulations. This work is of particular significance as it is a key piece of the legislative framework for port regulations and safety in the UAE and the development of the shipping investment landscape.
