Atty. Guillermo Tejida III is the Deputy Administrator II for Regulation of the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) of the Philippines. The SRA is the agency of the Philippines which regulates the sugarcane industry: its production by sugar mills, processes, imports and exports allocation, customs-bonded warehousing, and all to do with sugar and its by-products, including the ethanol distillery production and operation focusing mainly on the use of molasses, sugar, and sugarcane as principal feedstocks. Atty. Tejida sits as alternate member of the National Biofuel Board (NBB), a multi-agency body which includes SRA as the agency tasked to ensure that locally-sourced molasses, sugar, as well as sugarcane are sustainable for ethanol production and utilization.
