Dr. Rikard Krook is an expert in the sugar industry, with a robust academic and professional background. He earned his PhD in energy savings in the process industry from Lund University, Sweden. Dr. Krook began his career at Danisco Sugars, where he played a pivotal role in expanding capacity and enhancing energy efficiency in Swedish and Danish sugar mills.

With over 25 years at Alfa Laval, Dr. Krook has held various global managerial and specialist roles, focusing on the sugar, ethanol, and starch industries. His expertise in innovative technologies for heat exchange and separation has significantly advanced these sectors. Currently he serves as Alfa Laval’s Global Business Area Manager for Biofuels where he continues to drive sustainability initiatives, ensuring that the industry adopts more eco-friendly practices and technologies. His work not only boosts operational efficiency but also promotes a greener, more sustainable future for the sugar industry.
