After PhD in Microbial fermentation & Enzyme technology from the Dept. of Food technology & Biochemical engineering, Jadavpur University, Dr. Mukherjee started his career in industry wherein he worked for a few Indian Global and Multinational companies such as PRAJ Ind Ltd, Thermax Ltd, Novozymes South Asia Pvt Ltd. and contributed to R&D, customer facing technical roles as well as global project management. Along with the industry, Dr. Mukherjee’s honorary association allows him to serve the academia & society as an author of technical book chapter & scientific articles, a reviewer of International and National peer reviewed scientific journals, an Editorial Board member of Indian Food Industry Magazine and advisory board member of University & Institute. He is a life fellow member of Association of food scientist & technologist India (AFSTI), Oil technologist association of India (OTAI). In 2020, with ten years of industrial experience, Dr. Mukherjee joined Leaf, the business unit of Lesaffre, and a global key player in industrial biotechnology to enable a better future. In his current role as an industrial fermentation expert, he is closely working with the production management of Nation’s alcohol producers for maximization of plant profitability through performances improvement.
