Afsane Jetha co-founded Alta Semper Capital in 2016 and is also the Managing Partner & CEO. With over 23 years of experience, she has led the firm’s USD 200m worth of investments in Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco, and Kenya. Prior to Alta Semper, she invested over $500 million in healthcare, FMCG, and agribusiness across Ethiopia, Ghana, Uganda, and Cote D’Ivoire, and has served on the boards of major healthcare groups in Europe. Prior to her time at Alta Semper, she had roles at Duet Group, Permira, Wasserstein Perella, and Merrill Lynch. Afsane holds a BSc from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is based in London and has strong ties to East Africa.
