Ahmed is the managing partner of RMBV, an independent private equity fund manager focused on North Africa. Ahmed has over 20 years of experience in private equity and credit with a sector focus on consumer goods and services, healthcare, and education. Ahmed led over $750m of investments in North Africa over more than a decade, with realizations exceeding $1.2bn to date. Ahmed is also the chairman of Cleopatra Hospitals Group, Egypt’s largest healthcare provider listed on the Egyptian Stock Exchange. Ahmed graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the American University in Cairo and holds an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.
