Catherine has over 20 years of professional finance experience and is a Partner and the Chief Investment Officer of South Suez Capital. Prior to joining South Suez, Catherine was an Investment Manager in the Africa team at BII (previously the CDC group), the UK Development Finance Institution and a leading emerging market private equity investor. During her time at BII, Catherine was responsible for performing due diligence on new fund investments as well as for monitoring the performance of existing funds within the portfolio. She previously spent four years in the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs, predominantly in transaction execution for private equity clients. Catherine holds a B. Com (Hons) in Economics and a M. Com in Economics from the University of Cape Town.
