His journey in the tech and venture capital landscape began at Seedrs, now known as Republic, where he served on the deal sourcing team strategically sourcing investments from across Southern Europe and Western Europe and contributing to the growth of the broader tech and VC ecosystem in Europe.

Building on this foundational experience, Charnez became a Fellow at Included VC Venture’s Capital Fellowship, further solidifying his expertise in the intricacies of venture capital also being Co-Chair of the inaugural RiseinVC conference. His commitment to the field led him to assume an investment role at a pre-seed and seed stage European VC, where he contributed to their investments as well as further development of the fund processes at the firm.

Currently, Charnez contributes his extensive knowledge and skills to the FMO Ventures team, where he serves as a key player in the capacity of technical assistance - investee strengthening by supporting direct investees and fund investees of the FMO VEntures Program. In his role, he focuses on providing essential technical assistance to strengthen and foster the growth of start-ups under FMO ventures purview as well as assisting fund investees in further institutionalizing their venture capital firms.
