Chinedu Mofunanya is a seasoned investment professional with nearly two decades of experience spanning investment management, financial advisory, and strategic business consulting across national and multinational organizations. His expertise cuts across key sectors including financial services, telecommunications, and investment banking. Chinedu’s career encompasses a broad spectrum of investment functions, including infrastructure investing, multi-asset portfolio allocation, private equity, and investment research and analysis. He holds a Master’s degree in International Finance and Economic Policy from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, a Certificate in Sustainable Finance from the Chartered Banker Institute (UK), and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. He began his career in the Asset Management division of Zenith Capital Limited and has held roles at leading institutions such as Airtel Nigeria and Barclaycard UK. Currently, he serves as the Head, Externally Managed Investments at the Nigerian Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA), where he leads manager selection, due diligence, onboarding, and performance monitoring across a diversified multi-asset strategy encompassing public and private equities, hedge funds, hard assets, and fixed income. Chinedu is also a Board Member of Next Gen of AIF Global, AIF is an independent economic think tank focusing on institutional investment policy contributing to the development of the next generation of investment leaders across the globe.
