Christian Roelofse joined Sango Capital in March 2024 as Investment Director. He brings two decades of investment experience, most of which has been focused on African private assets. At Sango he is responsible for leading the Portfolio Solutions and Special Situations unit. Most recently Christian headed up FMO (the Dutch Development Bank)’s Private Equity Funds teams. Before FMO, he was Head of Alternative Assets at STANLIB Multi-Manager, the asset management arm of the Standard Bank Group. His earlier career included investing the capital of two life insurance companies in South Africa, investment product development, and advising pension funds in the UK on investment strategy. Christian is a CFA charter holder and completed his MBA (cum laude).
