Darren is an investment professional with 13 years of experience in entrepreneurship and investing across India and East Africa. He has worked on investment transactions across agribusiness, apparel, financial services, e-commerce and essential services totaliling US$ 50Mn+ building a deep understanding of business models in agro-processing, apparel manufacturing. At the ESG First Fund, Darren leads the investment process and has helped structure the fund's first three transactions in apparel manufacturing (denim & intimate wear) & agro processing (macadamia nuts) in Kenya. He is also a co-founder of an award-winning community based rural tourism company, Grassroutes Journeys. Darren has a bachelor’s degree in commerce and accounting from Sydenham College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai and an MBA from the Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneshwar.
