As one of the Founding Partners of AlphaCode, Dominique leads a venture capital fund that invests in early-stage, innovative and scalable fintech startups in Africa. With 20 years' experience in the fintech sector, she has a deep understanding of the opportunities and challenges that technology can bring to the financial services industry and the African continent.

Dominique has an entrepreneurial background and was one of the founding members of TYME, a South African based technology company that designs, builds and operates digital banking ecosystems. Prior to this, her career spanned both banking and management consulting. She worked for Standard Bank Group in the strategic investments and corporate development team which entailed identifying, evaluating and executing strategic growth, acquisition and joint-venture opportunities – particularly in the technology space. She also worked for McKinsey & Company with a focus on financial services.

Dominique has almost 20 years’ fintech experience and a passion for understanding how technology can reshape and disrupt industries, as well as drive financial inclusion through lowering the barriers to accessing financial services (physically, emotionally and financially). Her mission is to support and empower the next generation of fintech entrepreneurs who are creating solutions that address the needs and aspirations of millions of Africans.

Dominique has a Masters in Finance from London Business School and a Bachelor of Business Science from Rhodes University.
