Profile
Ejike Egbuagu, FICA, is a Pan-African financier with over 15years African experience spanning commercial banking, international trade, and alternative finance. He is the CEO of Moneda Invest Africa, an innovative investment firm focused on bridging Africa’s financing gaps, providing alternative capital to SMEs in the natural resource value chains.
Ejike founded Moneda amid the 2015 FX crisis with a bold vision: to transform Africa’s natural resources into real wealth for its people. Since then, Moneda has deployed over $200 million in capital and execution support, empowering local contractors particularly in the energy sector, to scale and thrive in competitive markets.
He also champions creative industries through 1952Africa, Moneda’s CSR arm dedicated to nurturing African artists. Under his leadership, the initiative has built a comprehensive creative incubator, received over 500 applications annually, and launched the Chizi Wigwe Prize for African Futurism, all geared toward cultivating cultural visionaries who imagine Africa’s future.
Ejike holds academic credentials from globally respected institutions. He is an alumnus of Harvard Business School (PLD29), Geneva Business School (MBA), the University of Kent Law School, and the Access Bank School of Banking Excellence.
A Fellow of the Institute of Credit Administration, Ejike is driven by a singular belief—that Africa’s future must be built from within. Whether through financing or cultural empowerment, he continues to shape pathways for Africans to thrive through capital, community, and creativity.
