Franziska Reh, born 1988, is the CEO & Co-Founder of Uncap, an investment-and technology company focusing on enabling access to finance for early-stage companies in Africa. Franziska holds a BSc in Business Administration from Frankfurt School of Finance and Management as well as an MSc in Global Sustainability from the Rotterdam School of Management. She is also a certified bank clerk.
Franziska started her career at Deutsche Bank in 2008, where she spent 5 years in different positions within commercial banking as well as an executive assistant to the CEO of Private & Business Clients. After her masters she gained 3 years of experience as a consultant at Accenture Strategy & Sustainability working with governmental clients and public companies around circular economy, digital sustainability and strategy. During a 1-year secondment as a project manager at the World Economic Forum, Franziska set-up and led large multi-stakeholder initiatives fostering cross-sector collaboration.
Since 2019, Franziska is the CEO & Founder of Uncap, an investment and technology company revolutionizing access to funding for early-stage entrepreneurs in sub-Saharan Africa. With it’s investment arm Unconventional Capital, Uncap provides revenue-based financing to early-stage SMEs, mostly in East Africa. Uncap also recently launched Level, a B2B SaaS company providing a co-pilot for funders and accelerators in the African ecosystem, leveraging powerful integrations with Open AI, Onafriq and Zignsec. Uncap has raised funding from well-known impact investors, family offices and foundations, such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Bayer Foundation and works with partners such as the GIZ.
