Jean-Benoît DU CHALARD is Deputy Head for Private Equity at PROPARCO, after being Regional Head for East Africa. He joined Proparco and the AFD Group in 2009 as an Investment Officer in charge of an infrastructure and corporate transactions portfolio in Asia. He also served as a Country Representative for AFD in Bangladesh where he opened the country’s office and provided financial support for the provision of water and sanitation services, power, transport and urban development. He is a graduate from ESSEC Business School in Paris and started his career as a Financial Engineer in charge of municipal debt management then as a Project Finance Analyst at DEXIA, a French-Belgian Bank.
