Jochen von Frowein is a Managing Director and the Africa Lead at Allied Climate Partners (ACP). He is an experienced impact investor and leader with over 20 years in finance, including more than 15 years investing across emerging markets. He is passionate about mobilizing private capital to drive climate impact and sustainable development.
Prior to joining ACP, Jochen was Director and Head of Infrastructure & Energy, Global Equity at DEG, where he built and led a global investment team focused on sustainable infrastructure and energy investments across emerging markets. He previously held leadership and specialist roles at DEG across Latin America and Africa, and began his career in banking and strategy consulting with Commerzbank, Dresdner Bank, and Roland Berger.
Jochen is a CFA Charterholder and holds a Master’s degree in African Studies from the University of London (SOAS) and a degree in Business Administration from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
