Johannes Scholl is Head of Division for Global Equity and Funds, Sub-Saharan Africa at KfW Development Bank. As such, he oversees as shareholder an equity investment portfolio in impact investment funds and companies in Sub-Saharan Africa of roughly EUR 1 billion in the areas of infrastructure, venture capital, capital market development and health. Prior to his current appointment, Johannes served in different roles at KfW, including as Head of Division for Sustainable Finance and Energy in Latin America, Principal Project Manager for Urban Development and Mobility in South Asia and Sector Economist for Biodiversity and Forests. Before joining KfW in 2010, Johannes worked at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) as Advisor to the German Government in the World Bank Forest Carbon Partnership Facility (FCPF) and Advisor to the Federal Brazilian Ministry of the Environment, based in Brasília (Brazil). Johannes holds a degree in International Business and Cultural Studies from the University of Passau. |
