Justin James CA(SA) is a Co-Founder and Investments Partner at Fireball Capital. The business launched its first institutional venture capital solution in 2022, Fireball Fund I. The aim of the Fund is to provide its investors with long-term capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of unlisted venture capital type investments. The Fund aims to invest in best-in-class South African venture capital fund managers (“Underlying Funds”) and to supplement this exposure with a pool of targeted and focused direct investments and co-investments, with a focus on fintech, edtech, healthtech and data platforms. The Partnership will endeavour to grow the South African economy and create jobs by providing long-term capital and support to enable the commercialisation of locally developed innovations and technologies, and by stimulating the development of new industries.
