Katy Allen brings over 17 years of expertise in designing, financing, and driving economic growth and sustainable investment initiatives in Africa. Her career spans leadership roles in business development and project implementation, including positions with organizations such as ACDI/VOCA and Fintrac in Washington, D.C., and TechnoServe in Johannesburg, where she spearheaded regional project development efforts across Southern Africa. Since 2018, Katy leveraged her expertise as a technical proposal writer and consultant, collaborating with USAID contractors, private equity firms, investment funds, and businesses to secure funding and build impactful solutions. Her emphasis on engaging local stakeholders, developing robust logic models, and prioritizing practical solutions ensures her clients achieve measurable and impactful results. As the CEO and co-founder of Elizabeth Kent Consulting (EKC), Katy is dedicated to increasing high-impact investments across the African continent. EKC focuses on intersection of growth and environmental sustainability in water, agriculture, energy and mining/extractive sectors.
