Kiendel Burritt is an investor and financial sector advisor with over 25 years of experience deploying capital across Africa and advising development finance institutions, philanthropic organizations, and other capital providers on strategies that deliver strong returns while driving inclusive economic growth.
Since 2019, she has served on the Investment Committee of Women’s World Banking Capital Partners Fund II ($103 million), where she oversees the Fund’s financial and social performance, with a particular focus on advancing gender equity in the workforce and expanding value propositions and financial access for women-owned MSMEs. She recently expanded her responsibilities, taking on an operational role as Principal Investment Officer and Acting Head of Africa.
Kiendel was until recently a Board Director at Advans Ghana, where she participated on the Risk, Cybersecurity, and Environmental & Social Performance Committees. As a business angel investor, she supports high-impact start-ups in fintech, mobility/logistics, creative economy, and healthtech across Africa.
