Liz is CEO of Small Foundation, a philanthropic funder dedicated to increasing income-generating opportunities for people living in extreme poverty in sub-Saharan Africa through rural SME support. For over a decade, she has worked to advance the Foundation’s mission, developing its strategy, systems, practices and organisational culture alongside a growing, multi-jurisdictional team.

In a voluntary capacity, Liz serves as a trustee of the Nigeria-based Visiola Foundation and the UK charity Enterprise for Development.Previously, Liz worked across the research, humanitarian and diplomatic sectors in the UK, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and China. She studied at the University of St Andrews, the Open University, Emory University and Beijing Normal University.
