Lucas Kranck is a Founder and Managing Partner with Ascent Capital Advisory Services, the exclusive Kenyan adviser to the managers of Ascent Rift Valley Fund I & II (ARVF I & II) with combined commitments in excess of US$ 200 million.

ARVF I & II are Mauritius based private equity funds focusing on investing in small medium size businesses (SMEs) in Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Rwanda. Ascent has advisory offices Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya and Mauritius.

Prior to founding Ascent, Lucas spent 12 years in senior roles with Nokia in China, Latin America and Africa, most recently as General Manager, East Africa. Lucas has spent 20 years in Africa and holds a law degree from the University of Helsinki and an MBA from INSEAD.
