Maame is the lead counsel at Stafford Law. She has worked in corporate legal practice and has gained significant corporate transactional experience. She regularly advises on the investment, financial, corporate and commercial issues that affect investments and companies operating in Ghana. Maame has received training in negotiation and leadership from the Harvard University Law School – PON Institute and has taken early course for the Investment Administration Qualification at the Securities Institute, London, UK. Maame provides general corporate advise and legal counsel on negotiating, structuring and closing joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions; corporate re-organizations, obtaining regulatory approvals, private equity & venture capital transactions, commercial contracts and alternative investments. She also has capabilities in commercial contract drafting and review, preventive legal advice and legal checklists and has worked extensively on legal due diligence, private placements of shares, investment issues, debt financing. Her expertise is in the area of structuring commercial transactions, and she advises several companies on legal requirements and documentation for projects. Recently, she was engaged as a consultant to the International Finance Corporation for the drafting of Companies Regulations for ORC as part of the restructuring of business regulatory environment in Ghana.
She was previously Managing Associate at Prime Attorneys, a firm of business lawyers advising international and local corporate establishments on business issues. Maame provides general corporate advise and legal counsel on negotiating, structuring and closing joint ventures and mergers & acquisitions, corporate re-organiations, obtaining regulatory approvals, private equity transactions, commercial contracts and transfer of technology agreements. Her expertise is in the area of structuring commercial transactions, and she advises several companies on legal requirements and documentation for projects.
