Maruping is an Executive Director at Affirma Capital, responsible for private equity investments across sub-Saharan Africa. For 12 years, she has led growth capital injections, business optimizations, entry into new markets and concluded 5 exits – including to global strategics. She’s managed investments in Export Trading Group (agribusiness conglomerate with global footprint), GZ Industries (leading manufacturer of aluminium cans), Eaton Towers (one of Africa’s leading telecoms towers operators), and Lodestone Brands (FMCG platform).

Maruping is also a founding member of Affirma Capital’s ESG Committee which oversees the firm's activities across Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

Prior to joining Affirma Capital (formally Standard Chartered Private Equity), she was a transactor in Standard Bank’s Africa Corporate Finance Division, where she developed core sector knowledge in sub-Saharan Africa’s consumer, industrial and agribusiness sectors. Maruping began her career at Deloitte & Touche and is a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
