Mercy is currently the Head of Access to Finance at Mastercard Foundation. She is an Entrepreneurial Financial Specialist experienced in deal sourcing, execution and management, having developed a combination of investment instinct, financial analysis skills and a demonstrated execution track record, owing to the 15+ years of professional experience and a satisfactory academic standing. Prior to joining Mastercard Foundation, Mercy was the Head of Investment Advisory Services at AECF and Regional Director for Africa at Capria Ventures.

At Mastercard Foundation, her primary responsibility includes developing innovative Financial Inclusion and Sustainable programs aimed at supporting the growth of enterprises and entrepreneurial ecosystems in the continent, contributing to the creation of dignified and fulfilling jobs for the youth and especially young women. Her most notably achievement is the development and launch of the Mastercard Foundation African Growth Fund, a US $200M initiative targeting to supporting Investment Vehicles to unlock job opportunities in the continent. Her first love however is motherhood, dotting and nurturing her two children. Her commitment to community service is part of her DNA and she is a member of the Rotary Club of Langata, Nairobi, Kenya where she has forged great friendships and memories, through the years of service.
