As Village Capital's Regional Director for Africa, Nakami leads the regional strategy, programs, and ecosystem development, driving initiatives that strengthen entrepreneurship across the continent. With over 15 years of experience in the entrepreneur support ecosystem, she has worked extensively across Sub-Saharan Africa to help startups access purpose-suited capital and scale their impact.

She is particularly passionate about entrepreneurship as a pathway to transform bold, innovative ideas into sustainable businesses that address pressing social and environmental challenges. Before joining Village Capital, Nakami served at the Kenya Climate Innovation Center, where she collaborated with more than 300 seed and growth-stage businesses in the climate sector, helping them scale their solutions and unlock financing.

Her experience spans over a decade of supporting entrepreneurs in diverse sectors including Climate, Agribusiness, Renewable Energy, Manufacturing, and Technology, where she has built a strong track record of catalyzing growth and connecting founders to the resources and capital they need to thrive.
