Omar is a General Partner at Algebra Ventures’ second $100M fund. He joined Algebra in 2018 as an Associate during the launch of its inaugural $54 million fund, contributing to investments in several high-growth companies, including Dsquares and POSRocket. In 2020, he was promoted to Principal, where he took on board responsibilities for portfolio companies and led new investment initiatives, before joining the second fund as a Partner in 2022.

Before joining Algebra Ventures, Omar served in an executive capacity at Yodawy, a startup specializing in online pharmacy services and insurance benefits management. Earlier in his career, he co-founded and served as CEO of Tutorama, a marketplace designed for peer-to-peer tutoring.

Omar earned his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from the London School of Economics and Political Science and holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Cornell University.
