Raphael (Ralph) Akomeah is Head, EduFinance & Quality for IDP Foundation, Inc., where he is responsible for managing and overseeing the implementation of all the Foundation’s programs and related partnerships. Ralph has over 15 years of experience managing the IDP Rising Schools Program (IDPRSP) – a program designed to drive growth and development of existing low-cost private schools using a unique microfinance model designed to efficiently deliver financial and capacity building services to Low Fee Private Schools. Ralph has extensive experience in the financial services industry and has worked in multiple African countries.

For four years, he consulted for CapitalPlus Exchange as an Education Finance Expert, where he works on developing capacity building tool kits and providing Technical Assistance to Financial Institutions on SME and School Financing, specifically in the areas of product and service development, delivery, monitoring, and reporting. Ralph has also recently led IDP Foundation into a blended finance partnership with Premier Credit Limited – a credit only microfinance company in Kenya – to provide financial support to APBET schools. Ralph holds a bachelor’s degree (BSc.) in Banking and Finance and a master’s degree (MSc.) in Financial Management, as well as multiple Certifications in Project Management.
