Sameerah started her career at HSBC Bank in 2016 where she worked in the Global Markets business focusing on client hedging, FX and commodity derivatives structuring and sales. She was also part of the e-trading team and rolled out a first of its kind FX algorithmic trading and transacting platform in South Africa to streamline and automate processes.

Sameerah furthered her investment experience at STANLIB Asset Management where she sourced and connected clients looking for investment opportunities through extensive sales strategy and execution. At Ashburton Investments Sameerah was part of the team that built out the corporate business, where she found opportunities to scale sales pipelines and substantially grow AUM. Sameerah has a deep understanding of client needs which has enabled her to launch and implement successful investment products.

Sameerah joined CAPITAN as Partner at the end of 2023 to launch the property finance business. Her focus is on implementing high social impact opportunities for private capital, whilst maintaining competitive financial returns and conservative risk protection metrics. She has a keen interest in building social and sustainable economic growth for South Africa and across Africa.

Sameerah holds a Bachelor of Business Science (Honours) degree from the University of Cape Town.
