Varun is a Director with idi Emerging Markets, based out of Paris. He heads fund investments (primaries and secondaries), co-investments and portfolio management across emerging markets, including: India, China, Latin America, Africa, South East Asia, and the Middle East.

Varun sits on several fund advisory and company boards, and represents European limited partners on different supervisory and industry councils. His past experience includes working with a French Venture Capital fund, an Italian Investment Bank, a Chinese Robotics Company and Private Equity funds / Investment banks in India.

Varun is a Rhodes Scholar from Oxford University, where he received a Masters in Financial Economics from the Said Business School and a Masters in Computer Science. He is also an international swimmer and has participated in the Olympic Trials (Beijing 2008), World Championships, Afro Asian Games and Asian Games.
