Winnie Odhiambo currently serves as MEDA’s Director for Investment Programs and Innovation, where she oversees legal structuring and legal closing for investments. She is a seasoned investment and legal professional with over 18 years of experience in asset management, venture capital, and private equity and impact investing in emerging markets. Before joining MEDA, Winnie was a Regulatory Compliance Manager at a Tier 1 Canadian bank. She has also worked for other international Asset Management and Investment Firms.
Winnie holds a Master of Laws degree in International Business Law from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University (Canada), and a Master of Science degree in Finance & Investments, as well as a Bachelor of Economics degree, both from the University of Nairobi (Kenya). Her professional certifications include a Certificate in Private Equity and Venture Capital from Harvard Business School, a Certificate in Advanced International Corporate Finance from INSEAD, and a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) from the Institute of Certified Financial and Investment Analysts (ICIFA) - Kenya.
