Zachary Fond is a Partner and COO at Alta Semper Capital, one of the most active investors in the healthcare sector across the African continent. Zachary has been investing / advising in the healthcare, consumer and technology sectors across developing and developed markets for over 15 years. During his career, he has invested in market-leading businesses in Egypt, Nigeria, Morocco, Kenya, and Angola as well as several more developed markets and regions. Prior to joining at Alta Semper Capital in 2016, Zachary worked as a Senior Associate with Emerging Capital Partners based out of Nairobi. Earlier in his career, he was an investment professional with SABMiller. Zachary started his career working in M&A for Goldman Sachs and UBS in Johannesburg and New York. Zachary has a BA in Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
