Zain is a Founding Partner of Kleoss Capital, a South African mid-market private equity fund manager. Kleoss Capital is currently raising its second fund, Kleoss Fund II and is targeting a total fund size of R1 billion, having already raised more than 60% of the total target.

Zain is a seasoned private equity professional and prior to founding Kleoss Capital, he was at Emerging Capital Partners (ECP) between 2006-2012. ECP is one of the largest and longest-established private equity fund managers focused on Africa, with over$3.2billion in capital raised.

Zain began his career in investment banking at Standard Bank in 2001 and was based in its London and Johannesburg offices.
