Zoe Ramushu is a filmmaker and tech founder with a legal background and over a decade of experience across film, television, diversity, and technology. A graduate of Columbia University and a Reuters Fellow at Oxford, she has been nominated for a Student Oscar and a Student BAFTA.
Her production company, Totem Zea, was contracted for an Amazon Original series and is currently producing a slate of nine feature films—the first trended on Netflix’s Top 10. She is producing Generation Africa 2.0, a pan-African climate change documentary collection of 30 films with STEPS and Arte.
With deep ties to the African, European, and U.S. film industries, Ramushu is a fellow of the Cannes Producers Network, DFM, The Gotham (formerly IFP), and Berlinale’s EFM Startups.
Her tech startup, WRAPPED, was one of ten apps selected to present at the European Film Market. She has also received two Cannes nominations for the Screen International Awards. She studied law and English at Wits University and chairs a committee for the Dept. of Arts & Culture in South Africa.
