Notably, Alta Semper exited Egypt’s largest low-acuity generic pharmaceutical company through an IPO in 2022 and invested in, then exited, Nigeria’s largest pharmacy chain. The firm remains invested in Morocco’s leading cancer-focused clinic group, which is increasingly serving clients across Sub-Saharan Africa. Through a warehoused facility for its Fund II, which is targeting a First Close in Q4-2024, Alta Semper has also invested in a global leader in renal care and in one of East Africa’s largest online pharmacies, a company actively consolidating brick-and-mortar pharmacies across the region.
