Cathy Chan is General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer, APAC of CBRE Investment Management, the real assets investment arm of NYSE-listed CBRE Group, Inc. with approximately USD155 billion of assets under management. In her role, Cathy overseas the legal and compliance function across APAC, which includes fund formations, investments, portfolio management and regulatory affairs. Cathy’s leadership responsibilities include being a member of the APAC Investment Committee, the chair of the APAC Risk Committee and a board member of the firm’s operating companies across APAC. In her previous roles, Cathy has undertaken a secondment at KKR in Hong Kong and held senior roles in the private equity teams of King & Wood Mallesons and Baker & McKenzie, as well as the Australian capital markets regulator ASIC.
